Offered for sale is this beautifully preserved 2000 Mazda MX-5 Miata LS showing just 36,828 original miles. Originally delivered new in Nevada and later sold as a Mazda Certified Pre-Owned vehicle by Perry Mazda in San Luis Obispo, California, this exceptional LS is finished in stunning Emerald Mica over tan leather and equipped with the desirable 5-speed manual transmission, Torsen limited-slip differential, Bilstein sport suspension, factory Nardi leather steering wheel, Bose premium audio system, cruise control, factory air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, factory fog lamps, and 15-inch alloy wheels. Accompanying the sale is a collection of documentation including maintenance records, the previous owner's handwritten maintenance log, Mazda Certified paperwork, reproduction owner's manuals and reference materials, factory service CD, Haynes repair manual, two sets of keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clear California title.
The 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine starts immediately, runs smoothly, and idles beautifully with excellent power throughout the rev range. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts effortlessly through every gear, while the Bilstein sport suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and Torsen limited-slip differential combine to make this lightweight roadster exceptionally balanced, responsive, and rewarding to drive. After acquiring the car, we performed a careful mechanical recommissioning to prepare it for its next caretaker. Prior to starting, the fuel system was inspected, the old fuel was removed, and the tank was filled with fresh gasoline. A new battery was installed, the engine oil and filter were changed, the clutch master and slave cylinders were replaced, the clutch hydraulic system was flushed and properly bled, and the remaining fluids were inspected and found to be clean and in excellent condition. The engine fired immediately and has performed exactly as you would expect from a carefully maintained, low-mileage Miata. The accompanying records further document transmission and differential fluid services, ignition coils, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump and fuel filter replacement, pre-catalytic converter replacement, air conditioning service, routine oil changes, and numerous additional preventative maintenance items performed throughout its life.
The Emerald Mica paint retains a beautiful depth of shine and presents exceptionally well, highlighting one of the most attractive factory color combinations offered on the NB Miata. The body is straight with excellent panel fit, while the glass, trim, weatherstripping, emblems, and lighting all show beautifully and reflect the level of care this car has consistently received. The factory 15-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in 195/50R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A performance tires with good tread remaining. Unmodified and remarkably original throughout, this Miata stands apart from the majority of NB examples that have been heavily modified or accumulated substantially higher mileage over the years.
The tan leather interior is comfortable, inviting, and in exceptionally nice condition throughout. The leather seating surfaces remain soft with minimal wear, while the carpeting, dashboard, center console, door panels, and interior trim have all been beautifully preserved. The factory Nardi leather steering wheel feels wonderful in your hands, while the Bose premium audio system, cruise control, power windows, power mirrors, and cold air conditioning make this Miata equally enjoyable on a spirited weekend drive or a leisurely cruise along the coast. Although the original owner's portfolio is no longer present, excellent reproduction owner's manuals and reference materials accompany the car along with the factory service CD, Haynes repair manual, and an impressive collection of maintenance document |
